Music, Movies, and Shows

Find out what I’ve been loving to listen and watch!

  • The Dynasty

You don't need to be a fan of football or Tom Brady to find this compelling viewing. At one point I was peeking out from behind a blanket to watch the drama unfold. If there's one take away from it, it's that nothing good comes easy or without a bucket load of hard work and unwavering dedication.

  • Cowboy Carter

As someone who listened obsessively to Lemonade, I think Beyoncé's new album might be on par. It's a delight for the ears, lots of incredible guest artists including Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus and Willie Nelson but my favorite has to be Levii's Jeans, the colab with Post Malone.

  • Mare of Easttown

For some reason I'd been putting off watching this show even though it seemed to pop up on Apple every time I switched the TV on. I wish I hadn't. It's absolutely incredible viewing, maybe my favorite thing I've ever seen Kate Winslet in.

  • Taylor Swift

I'm a card carrying Swiftie. Watching her in L.A. last year was incredible and I can't wait to see her in London this summer. I'm counting down the days for TTPD to drop.

  • Song of the Summer

    Makeba by Jain.

You can’t miss this on TikTok right now. And I’m hearing it everywhere in my ‘real world life’

One thing I love about it, is that it was made in 2015 and is only becoming a big hit now. Sometimes things take time.

  • Grace and Frankie

If you know me, you’ll know I don’t often have muses for my characters, I don’t really visualize or imagine them because I prefer for my reader to create their own ideas. But, I adore Jane Fonda as Grace and there’s a character in my new book, Huck, who fits perfectly into this mold.

Please picture her when you’re reading 😊

  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I’ve just binged watched this series, and I’m not sorry. Took me right back to my teenage years when I was obsessed with Buffy and Angel. There’s just something about fated mates.

  • Shrinking

OMG this show is like a hug straight from the television. And I never knew Harrison Ford was so funny. Honestly, it’s so worth the watch when you need something feel-good.

  • CHILDISH GAMBINO

It’s been a while since Donald Glover brought out a new album but I was loving listening to his back catalogue while writing The Third Baseman.

  • Janelle Monae

Her new single, Float, has been on repeat in our house and I can’t wait for her new album.
